Danette M. Ver

Danette Majette was born in Long Branch, New Jersey, and moved to Norfolk, Virginia when she was five. After graduating from high school and going into the U.S. Marine Corps, Danette’s love for fashion led her to Nordstrom where she worked as a manager. It was there that she was advised be a friend and co-worker to write her first novel “I Shoulda Seen It Comin'” which debuted in 2005. She followed this success two years later with her second novel Deep which successfully made the Essence Magazine bestseller list in 2008. Her third book Good Girl Gone Bad was released in April 2009. After releasing her fourth book “Bitter” which was released in 2011, Danette took a break from writing to obtain her Bachelors degree. She is currently attending Shaw University in Raleigh, North Carolina where is she majoring in Business Administration. Anxious to get back to writing, she penned her latest novel “I Shoulda Saw Him Coming Part 1” which was released February 2015. Part 2 will be released in March of 2015.

Danette currently resides in Raleigh, NC with her two children, Bryan Majette and Marketa Salley.
