“Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?” — Jeremiah 32:27 (KJV)
Have you ever stared at a situation so impossible that even prayer felt like a formality? A diagnosis with no cure. A marriage that seems beyond repair. A dream that looks dead and buried. We’ve all stood at the edge of “impossible” and wondered if even God could do something with it.
The truth is, our God specializes in impossibilities. Is There Anything Too Hard for Him?
This question isn’t rhetorical filler—it’s a declaration. God Himself asks it, and the answer echoes through all of Scripture: No. Nothing is too hard for Him.
He can tweak all flesh to work out His Purposes
Notice the wording—”the God of all flesh.”Not just the God of the strong, the wealthy, the healthy, or the favored. He is God over every situation, every body, every circumstance, every nation. No category of problem falls outside His jurisdiction. That statement is a statement of absolute and undisputed control. Believers must also let this truth be established in them and sustain the thought pattern.
Your Faith Turning Point
It’s easy to trust God for things we could likely accomplish ourselves. But faith truly comes alive when we’re standing in front of something we cannot fix, cannot fund, cannot force, and cannot fast-track. That’s exactly where God loves to show up. Your impossibility is the beginning of your faith. It’s like standing on the seashore; where your feet stop at the shore is where the sea begins. Only God can do what no man can do. There is a level of faith you step into by revelation; it is not something men can teach you. You will have to be guided by the Holy Spirit, from faith to faith.
Rating God’s Power Logically
Few stories capture this truth like Abraham and Sarah’s. God had promised Abraham a son, an heir through whom nations would come. But by the time the promise was finally about to be fulfilled, Sarah was old, well past the age of childbearing. When she overheard the promise repeated, she laughed within herself, thinking it simply couldn’t happen.
Then came God’s response: “Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.” — Genesis 18:14 (KJV)
And it happened exactly as God said. Isaac was born—not because the timing made sense, not because biology cooperated, but because God spoke it.
Abraham’s and Sarah’s story isn’t just ancient history—it’s a pattern. God sometimes waits until a situation looks completely impossible by human standards, and then He moves so that no one can claim the credit but Him.
We often measure possibility by what we’ve seen before, by statistics, by “how things usually go.” But God’s possibilities aren’t bound by precedent. He doesn’t need a pattern to follow. God sets the pattern. Our logic doesn’t limit His power. The tendency to always want to rate the power of God logically is inbred in every man, and the devil takes advantage of this to make man say or do things that will hinder the operations of God.
When Nature Says No
Whatever “impossible” looks like in your life right now—your finances, your health, your family, your future—God is not intimidated by it. The same God who opened Sarah’s womb when nature said no is the same God who hears your prayers today. As much as you desire the blessings of Abraham and other men of faith, whose lives God has revealed Himself as the God of all possibilities through, you must realize that it is not just a testimony but a very solid pattern. Firstly, you must surrender to the truth that you need God. God designed the world so that all things consist in Him. God is the true operating system of the world. The world drives men towards this truth, but unfortunately, many are still missing out on it and getting more perverse. Secondly, when situations of life start driving you towards this truth, don’t measure God by the circumstances but rather measure the circumstances by who God is, which is that God is bigger than the biggest problems. Thirdly, take all your impossibilities to God. God, as a Father, is not asking you to figure it out yourself but to rely on Him. And finally, wait on God’s timing and not your calendar. God doesn’t fail His appointed time. All the while you are waiting, you are getting stronger.
Conclusion
God is not bound by time, but He requires time. And that is because God operates within His spiritual laws. It will be tragically delusional if you start thinking that because God is the God of all possibilities, it means He is lawless. No! Don’t be a victim of such a thought pattern. God is a God of all possibilities within the laws He has set. May you experience possibilities in all areas of your life.
